Angela Hoang

Angela Hoang is a Toronto-based artist and illustrator whose work explores memory and connection through depictions of food, gathering, and cultural spaces.

Her practice derives from a sentimental desire to document her own experiences and reflect upon the deeper meaning behind the ordinary objects and everyday moments she encounters. Inspired by shared meals and cross-cultural narratives, Angela creates colourful images that feel familiar and evoke a sense of nostalgia. She continues to navigate her Chinese-Vietnamese Canadian identity and engage with her heritage through her oil paintings, illustrations, and sculptures. Angela holds a BFA in Visual Arts from the University of Windsor and an Illustration diploma from Seneca Polytechnic.
